Not just looking at the lilac

I love the writing of John Berger. It is poetic writing, sometimes in the form of prose, sometimes as poem. And it comes out of deep looking at what is around him in the world. Looking, attending, noticing, and connecting.

… and, in that last line, he hints at the connecting of looking at the lilac with his life.
