Ten years ago, I was working full time as a professor and researcher in a university. I had big projects and my long-term career goals were being achieved. I used weekends to pursue my painting. But the yearning for more would get to me whenever I stopped long enough to breathe.
Not more money, not more fun, just more - a vague yearning for more than committee meetings, strategic planning, and academic texts, for deeper experience.
I began to choose differently, to explore my life and its possibilities, to take courses in personal development, to experience life coaching. A series of brilliant women helped me uncover my desire for a poetic life, and to create it.
I built a studio practice that fills me with delight, painting and writing every day. And my life continues to grow and change. The fears and boredom may come back but now I have the tools to deal with them, and to choose to keep growing.
Now it’s time to share the process of shifting towards the poetic. I’m developing a course to support your choosing. And 1-1 coaching. Sign up to the mailing list to be the first to know more as it happens.
